Terms and Conditions - Standard Repair Services

 

Terms and Conditions of trade at Brisbane Electronics Shop 2/487 South Pine Rd Everton Park QLD 4053, unless otherwise overruled by Australia Consumer are stated below.

 

-All goods & services requested and/or performed are subject to charge.

 

-Refunds of stock items are subject to a 25% re-stocking fee. Refunds for special orders are not possible.

 

-In the event of fire, burglary, theft and/or events beyond our control, Brisbane Electronics is not responsible for any loss or damage.
 Please ensure you have adequate insurance cover for your goods whilst at Brisbane Electronics.

 

-We are insured for public & products liability for matters arising from our products and services always.

 

-By requesting Goods and Services from Brisbane Electronics, you or the organisation you represent, agree goods or items not collected within 90 days will be deemed abandoned goods and may be disposed of without notice. Any unpaid costs or charges will be pursued.
 
-At our discretion, a fee or charge may be requested prior to commencement of any work.

 

-Unless prior arrangements have been made and authorised, all amounts outstanding must be paid prior to any goods being returned.


-The repair of your goods may result in the loss of data including user generated data such as images, video, audio or data files. It is your responsibility to ensure your data is backed up prior. If you are not able to adequately backup your data prior, it is essential you let us know as we may reset, erase or delete information of media during diagnostics or repair.

 

-Goods presented for repair may be replaced by new or refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair your goods. This is most often that case where original manufacture parts are no longer available.

 

Terms and Conditions - Data Recovery Services

 

-It's understood by the customer that the item for data recovery is in a state of non-function and understands the process involved for data recovery may further damage or reduce its function and you the customer accepts this risk in all cases. We take the most appropriate steps in data recovery however in some cases render the item a more nonfunctional state after any work is carried out.

 

- Free assessment - We will not charge you to assess your device. We will assess (which may involve some preliminary data recovery or repair works) and contact you in regards pricing and chances of recovery of ANY data. If you accept, we then will proceed or continue to recover your data which you become liable for any costs.

 

-No Recovery No Fee means that if we find we are not able to get ANY data back from your device, then we don’t charge you for our time in labor. You are still liable for any freight charges plus any Miscellaneous costs which you agreed to at time of quotation.

 

-After the data is extracted from your device, you will be contacted and if not already provided, you decide how you want your data returned to you. This is usually by Hard drive, USB memory drive, cloud storage or email.

 

-Data retention - Your data is kept on our secure servers for 30 days in case something happens in transit from us to you. You have also the option to ask us to securely delete all your data from our servers at any time. This request will require authentication of identity.

 

-Your original device, unless otherwise requested, will be securely recycled after 30 days after recovered data has been returned to you.
